The LYC Choirs
Our ever-growing family of choirs offers a home for all young singing Londoners. Spanning from age 7 to 23, members are able to stay with us as they journey through their formative years.
LYC South East
LYC South East is a mixed voice choir for children in school years 3 – 6, based in Southwark. It’s the first LYC regional choir, created as part of our 10th anniversary plan to bring brilliant musical education closer to home for more young people across London.
LYC North East
LYC North East is a mixed voice choir for children in school years 3 – 6, based in Tottenham. It’s the fourth LYC regional choir, created as part of our 10th anniversary plan to bring brilliant musical education closer to home for more young people across London.
LYC West
LYC West is a mixed voice choir for children in school years 3 – 6, based in Ealing. It’s the second LYC regional choir, created as part of our 10th anniversary plan to bring brilliant musical education closer to home for more young people across London.
LYC South West
LYC South West is a mixed voice choir for children in school years 3 – 6, based in Streatham. It’s the third LYC regional choir, created as part of our 10th anniversary plan to bring brilliant musical education closer to home for more young people across London.
LYC Junior Girls
LYC Junior Girls is our early stages choir for girls from across London in school years 3 – 6, based in Central London. The choir gives girls a solid foundation in voice production and musicianship within a creative, supportive and fun environment.
LYC Junior Boys
LYC Junior Boys is our early stages choir for boys from across London in school years 3 – 6, based in Central London. The choir gives boys a solid foundation in voice production and musicianship within a creative, supportive an fun environment.
LYC Cambiata Girls
LYC Cambiata Girls is for girls from across London in school years 7 – 11, based in Central London. The choir provides support and inspiration to nurture girls at this uniquely personal and creative stage of their vocal development.
LYC Cambiata Boys
LYC Cambiata Boys is for boys from across London in school years 7 – 11. The choir is based in central London and provides support and inspiration to nurture boys at this uniquely personal and creative stage of their vocal development.
London Youth Choir
London Youth Choir is our senior mixed voice choir for young people from across London in school year 11 to age 23. Working across a wide-ranging repertoire encompassing many styles, cultures and languages, London Youth Choir members also receive separate musicianship classes to improve their score-reading, listening and ensemble skills, and enjoy performance opportunities from recording sessions to arena concerts.
LYC Chamber Choir
The LYC Chamber Choir is a 24-voice mixed voice choir for young people from across London aged 16 to age 23, and represents the culmination of the exceptional training offered to LYC members. Chamber Choir members are advanced young choral singers, capable of tackling challenging and varied repertoire. Extra tuition and opportunities provide a rich musical experience and a gateway to early professional music-making.
